TCS - Q3 Result FY 2011-12

Indian IT major Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) reported an 18% rise in its third quarter net profit to Rs 2886.6 crore over Rs 2439 crore reported in the previous quarter.

The company's net revenues stood at Rs 13204 crore versus Rs 11633.5 crore. Its net profit margins was robust at 21.9%.

Net Revenue up 2.4% at USD 2.6 Bn (QoQ)
EBIT margins at 29.2% Vs 27.1% (QoQ)
Net Profit margins at 21.9%
Rupee operating margins up 213 bps (QoQ)
Volumes were up 3.2% sequentially
Attrition at 12.8% Vs 15.4% (QoQ)
TCS added 40 Clients in Q3

At the end of Q3 the employed strength of company was 226751, a gross addition of 18,907 employees which includes 10,341 as trainee and 6,763 as laterals.

The TCS share was closed at Rs 1,104.30 in BSE a -0.28% below its opening dated 17Jan 2012.
